How does architecture become legible?
How does it become visible?
How do books, magazines, digital platforms and exhibitions shape what we see, value and remember?
Publishing–Architecture Forum is a five-day celebration, masterclass and gathering for editors, writers, curators, publishers, designers and researchers interested in how architecture is communicated through words, images and platforms. Through talks, live editorial sessions and discussions, participants explore how architectural discourse is produced, shaped and circulated through print, digital and exhibition formats.
Set within the AA’s historic rooms and joined by an international community, the Forum creates a rare space for deep editorial exchange and reflection. We will engage with independent and institutional voices, explore commissioning, writing, image-making and curating, and reflect on the social, cultural and political dimensions of publishing architecture. You will learn directly from leading figures in the field in this small-cohort, high-impact environment. Sat around one large round table, you will have the chance to explore, debate and test ideas together.
This Forum is for editors, writers, curators, publishers, students and practitioners seeking to publish architectural work, build platforms or understand how architectural culture is produced today across print, digital and exhibition contexts.
Recent contributors across the Forums include Lars Müller, AA Publications, AA Files, Hatje Cantz, OK-RM, New Architecture Writers, Sohrab Golsorkhi (Tank Magazine), Tom Ravenscroft (Dezeen), Shumi Bose, Eliot Haworth and others.
The full 2026 programme details will be launched early 2026.
