AA Foundation Programme Tutor Sabrina Morreale is set to exhibit the project Roman Foraging at Rocca Pia Castle in Tivoli, Italy, which opens on 4 April. The project is an exploration of the complex relationship between the city of Rome and the Roman countryside – the wild, uncontaminated areas that characterise its (sub)urban environments. Curated by AA First Year Tutor, Michela Falcone, Roman Foraging showcases a series of short films, interviews, photographs and annotated drawings that explore the rich fabric of life that flourishes in the neglected corners of the city. In doing so, Roman Foraging draws attention to the spaces that nature reclaims and where foragers meet through a shared recognition of spontaneous plants and herbs.
