Date: Wednesday 3 November 1993
To move along a pilgrim path towards a sacred centre is a primordial experience, one so embedded in the deep structure of the human mind that it has appeared in almost every society since the beginning of time'. In a lecture accompanying an AA exhibition of his work, the distinguished Indian architect and planner Charles Correa discusses five of his projects. Correa is an pioneer of low-cost shelter design for the developing world. His many awards include the RIBA Gold Medal and the Gold Medal of the Indian Institute of Architects.
All lectures are open to members of the public, staff and students unless otherwise stated.
