Retrospective(s): The Grunt Group and my part in it
Date: Friday 4 February 1994
In the first of a series of 'retrospective' lectures, Christopher Cross introduces the Grunt Group - Michael Gold, Jeremy Dixon and Edward Jones - who were students together at the AA in the 1960s. The group lasted from the mid 1960s until the mid 1970s. In its early days, because of a radical severity in the work reminiscent of early Modernism, it was described as 'Neo-Purist' by Walter Segal, 'The Lost Generation' by Martin Pawley, and 'The Cool School' by David Wild. NB: Cuts out.
All lectures are open to members of the public, staff and students unless otherwise stated.
