LOVEGROVE, Ross

Materialism: Towards A New Physicality

Series:
Date: Tuesday 29 April 2003
Time: 00:00
Venue:
Running time: 107 mins
Ross Lovegrove is one of the worlds most prolific and admired designers. Lately he has found himself focusing on the convergence of material, technology, and form - particularly the potential for technologies taken out of scale or context to form the basis of larger structures, such as cars or architectural components. But this exchange runs both ways, as architecture becomes more organic, more material and complex, Lovegrove sees its process and attitude towards structural innovation as a growing influence on the future composition of products, furniture, and transportation.

All lectures are open to members of the public, staff and students unless otherwise stated.
