28 August 2007: The Photo Library is closed until 24 September, when it will reopen in new premises in 37 Bedford Square.

 

Introduction

The Architectural Association Photo Library holds approximately 150,000 slides of historical and contemporary architecture, 25,000 slides of AA student work, and several archives of black-and-white photographs, including those of FR Yerbury
and Eric de Maré.

 

Educational Use

The collection is an educational resource for use within the School (see opening times below). AA students, staff and members can download watermarked images from the website for educational purposes.

 

Commercial Use

The Photo Library also operates on a commercial basis, loaning images for publication in books and journals worldwide. Please follow the ordering instructions or contact us directly. Standard fees apply.

 

Film Archive

The Photo Library is responsible for the AA film archive - an important collection consisting of lectures, conferences, symposia, and other events presented at the AA. The film archive is for the use of AA students, staff and members only. Students and staff also have access to over 300 feature films and documentaries. All films must be viewed in situ.
