AA Building Conservation
Study Methods
The course is held on Fridays during academic terms, for approximately 32 weeks a year.

The programme includes lectures, seminars, individual and group projects, and site visits to craft workshops and to buildings from a variety of periods undergoing repair or conversion.

One of the main strengths of the course is that the majority of the lectures and visits are by visiting specialists who are experts in their fields, with only some ‘in-house’ lectures [unlike other courses]. Active discussion and debate with the other participants, especially those from different disciplines, gives further stimulus and experience.
