AA Members and alumni are invited to explore Hooke Park, the AA's woodland campus in Dorset.


Tours of the architecture campus buildings and talks on the development of Hooke Park as a unique place for learning, experimentation and self-sufficiency will take place throughout the day. You also have the chance to join medical herbalist and Hooke resident Georgie Corry Wright on a foraging woodland walk.

ITINERARY


08.20 | Depart London Waterloo


11.20 | Arrival at Hooke Park


11.20 - 11.40 | Coffee, introduction to Hooke Park in the Prototype House (1989, Richard Burton and Frei Otto)


11.40 - 12.20 | Tour of original buildings including Workshop (1987 by Richard Burton & Frei Otto) and Westminster Lodge (1995) by Edward Cullinan Architects


12.20 – 13.00 | Tour of AA Design + Make buildings including:  Timber Seasoning Shelter (2014), Biomass Boiler House (2015) and  Big Shed (2012) plus Wakeford Hall project update


13.00 – 13.40 | Lunch served in the Refectory


13.40 – 14.40 | Campus tour, Design + Make: Woodchip Barn (2016) and Sawmill Shelter (2017)


14.40 – 16.15 | Foraging walk led by Georgie Corry Wright, Hooke Park resident and medical herbalist

14.40 - 16.15 | Growing timber for future architecture: Tour of the forestry at Hooke Park with Jez Ralph


16.15 - 16.45 | Tea


16.45 | Depart Hooke Park
