Not What, But How Front Members' Room 16/11/2013 - 14/12/2013
Exhibitions are open Monday to Friday 10:00-19:00, Saturday 10:00-15:00, unless otherwise stated.
WORKSHOP architecture is a non-profit design and make studio that focuses on participation, learning by doing and cultivating a deeper understanding of place. Living temporarily within the communities they work with and engaging with local building crafts they aim to bring about an architecture which is both challenging and pragmatic.
Originally installed earlier this year at the British Council in Delhi, this exhibition will include new material from Project Hariharpur (due to be completed by September 2013) as well as preparatory material for the next project, which will be implemented in collaboration with the Indian NGO Aarohi. An AA Visiting School will be held in the two weeks prior to the opening, in order to explore ideas for the next project through hands-on making in the exhibition space.
WORKSHOP architecture is led by Clementine Blakemore, Alexander Furunes and Ivar Tutturen.
This exhibition is in partnership with the British Council.
