Undergraduate students are reminded that Submission Hand-In Week will take place in Week 1 of the Spring Term, from Monday 11 to Friday 15 January. Submissions should be given to Belinda in the Co-ordinator’s Office on any day during this week between 9.00 and 4.00. Submissions after this will be classified as LATE and it is at the discretion of the assessing tutor whether this will affect the final result.

TS Second Year Walking Bridge Competition Thursday 26 November, 2.00–5.00 16.B01

Student teams will walk-test 2-metre-span bridges of their own design and fabrication, to prove load-carrying performance. For this competition, ‘all successes must fail’ too, at a prescribed maximum load. Similar events will take place on Thursdays 3 and 17 December. All welcome

AA Film Club showing Federico Fellini's Roma on Wednesday 25 November, 6.00 hosted by Byron Blakeley

The AA Photo Library is starting a weekly Film Club in the newly opened cinema in 37 Bedford Square. Every Wednesday we will be showing a film at 6.00. Open to all AA students but space is very limited – seats are first-come, first-served.

Full-fee Baylight Scholarship
Thanks to the generosity of the Baylight Foundation, the AA is able to offer a number of full-fee scholarships to British students entering the Diploma School.

Applicants must complete the undergraduate application form by
10 January 2010, stating their interest in an AA scholarship. Candidates need to demonstrate outstanding merit and need. Students whose work is considered to be of scholarship standard will be asked, after the entry interview, to complete a scholarship application form, provide financial information and prepare a portfolio for the Committee.

Space planning presentation with Fiona Duggan and team: Friday 13 November, 1.00 in the Lecture Hall

The School Community is invited to a space planning presentation on Friday 13 November at 1.00 in the Lecture Hall, at which Fiona Duggan and her team of space planning consultants will present their latest summary of findings, questions and alternative strategies for how the AA might choose to organise itself at the school in Bedford Square.
