Visiting Membership
If you are new to the AA, or based in London for a short period only, Visiting Membership will introduce you to the AA's world and allow you to access to our unique facilities and programme of lectures, events and visits. Benefits include:

Visiting Membership costs £50 for one year from date of joining.
Holders of a year's Visiting Member Pass also have the option to:

Researcher Passes are ideal for those requiring short-term access to the AA Libraries. Over the two-week duration, a pass gives the holder access to:

Subscribing Membership
If you wish to develop a long-term relationship with the AA, apply now to become part of the 3,000 Subscribing Members worldwide who formally constitute the Architectural Association.
Subscribing Members receive a wide range of benefits and services, and increased opportunity to socialise and network with other Members. Furthermore, Subscribing Members elect amongst themselves the representatives that form the board of Directors and Trustees ultimately responsible for the Architectural Association (Inc), which includes the School. Subscribing Membership is open to anyone with a genuine interest in architecture. Applications are reviewed by the AA Council based on professional qualifications or reasons given for joining. Becoming a Subscribing Member represents a continuous association with the AA. The subscription period runs from 1 August to 31 July, and you agreed on joining to pay the annual fee by 1 August each year.
Subscribing Members receive additional benefits. As well as those available to other Member categories, Subscribing Members receive:
• The acclaimed academic journal AA Files, issued twice a year
• Invitations to private views of AA exhibitions
• Priority booking on selected Lectures and Events
• Full borrowing rights in the AA Library
• Access to an online Register of Subscribing Members
• Eligibility to vote and stand for AA Council
The Subscribing Member fee for 2009/10 is £120, with concessionary rates available on request.

An additional Membership Card can be purchased for a guest at a cost of £30, allowing the guest equal access rights as the Subscribing Member, but no mailings.
After 40 years of continuous subscription, Members qualify for Life Membership, allowing them full access to benefits with no requirement to pay further fees. Life Membership can also be achieved now on payment of the advance fees at today's rate. For more information contact our Membership team.
