REGISTERING FOR AN ATHENS ACCOUNT
If you do not have an Athens account please email simine.marine@aaschool.ac.uk to register, including your name and AA card number, or fill out a form at the library issue desk. You will receive a registration email to setup your password, usually by the next working day. Please note that only subscribing members (including AA School staff and students) may register for an Athens account. Help is also available in the library on how to use this new service.

- Description: Includes full-text of leading academic journals across the humanities, social sciences and sciences.

- NEWS: Art Full Text has moved to EBSCO; it is now possible to search both databases simultaneously
Description: Avery Index is a bibliographical database produced by Columbia University which indexes and abstracts articles from 2500 journals concerned with architecture, design and related subjects.
Art Full Text contains abstracts and indexing of 552 periodicals from 1984 onwards, abstracts for every article indexed, and the full text of articles from 252 journals dating from 1997.

- Description: Full text access to the complete, updated British Standards and numerous technical guides and product information.
Off-site access: Login via MyAthens or directly through Info4education and using the login button on the left hand side. - CumInCAD
- Description: Cumulative index of publications in the field of computer-aided architectural design. It includes bibliographic information about over 9,500 records from journals and conferences such as ACADIA (www.acadia.org), ASCAAD (www.ascaad.org) and others. All papers include abstracts. Full texts, in PDF, of some 6,800 papers are also available.
Access: Personal registration required; not available off-site. - Architectour.net
- Description: Online magazine and database of International Contemporary Architecture, including more than 10,000 records on contemporary architects, locations and buildings. Registering is free but a general library username and password is available from the desk.
Access: Open access; free personal registration required. - Material ConneXion
- Description: An online library of advanced, innovative and sustainable materials. Once in the resources, students can create their own accounts.
Off-site access: Email Simine Marine simine.marine@aaschool.ac.uk to create a Material ConneXion account; not currently accessible through Athens - Ordnance Survey OpenData (Digital Map Data)
- Description: OS OpenData provides access to a selection of mapping datasets available for Great Britain that can be downloaded to your PC (Help guide). The more complete digital mapping service, DigiMap, is not available to the AA.
Access: Open access. - RUDI (Resource for Urban Design Information)
- Description: Multimedia resource for teaching, research, and professional activity in urban design and its related disciplines.
Access: Library computers, AA wireless network, computer room; not available off-site. - OpenBuildings
- Description: A crowdsourced global directory of historical, contemporary and conceptual buildings including numerous photos and drawings.
Access:Open access. - UN HABITAT E-Resources
- Description: Repository of reference material including reports, guides, best practices declarations, resolutions and UN-HABITAT reports; including Urban Indicators with statistics on urban population, slums and access to water and sanitation.

- Description: Free, full text, quality controlled scientific and scholarly journals in many languages, covering the following subjects: Agriculture and Food Sciences, Arts and Architecture, Biology and Life Sciences, Business and Economics, Chemistry, Earth and Environmental Sciences, Health Sciences, History and Archaeology, Languages and Literatures, Law and Political Science, Mathematics and Statistics, Philosophy and Religion, Physics and Astronomy, General Science, Social Sciences, Technology and Engineering.

RIBA Library Catalogue
Includes citations to articles in many of the world's most respected architectural periodicals; it also includes books and audio-visual material, photographs, drawings and manuscripts. Along with the Avery Index, it provides excellent coverage to material in architecture and its allied fields.
COPAC
Online catalogues of many major University, Specialist, and National Libraries in the UK and Ireland, including the British Library.
PADDI
Bibliographic database which aims to provide wide access to information on all aspects of the built environment and environmental planning in Ireland, north and south.
