ENSAPL and is coordinator
of the AA visiting school in

Kate Davies

Bio: Kate Davies graduated from the Bartlett School of Architecture. She is a co-founder of Liquidfactory (liquidfactory.co.uk), a partnership that seeks to inhabit the periphery of architecture; the points where it touches the related disciplines of art and performance. Their work was published in the AD Protoarchitecture: Analogue and Digital Hybrids issue. Kate also teaches at Chelsea College of Art and has worked in practices in London and Belgium.

Paul Davies

Bio: was educated at Bristol University and the Polytechnic of Central London. He has lectured in History & Theory Studies since 1997 on the subject of Las Vegas and entertainment architecture. He writes for various popular and academic magazines, and is co-editor of The Architects Guide to Fame (2005).

Monia De Marchi
Unit/Programme:Visiting School, Media Studies, First Year
Bio: Monia De Marchi is an architect who studied at the Istituto di Architettura di Venezia. She has taught at the AA since 2005, as a Unit Master at both Intermediate and Diploma levels, in Media Studies and she directed the AA Semester Programme. She is currently Head and Studio Master of the First Year Studio, and runs her own practice on architecture and planning.

Ricardo de Ostos

Bio: Nannette Jackowski and Ricardo de Ostos are the principles of NaJa & deOstos, a studio developed as a platform for experimental architecture. They are the authors of The Hanging Cemetery of Baghdad (2007 Springer WienNewYork) and are currently working on the next installment of Pamphlet Architecture (2008 Princeton Architectural Press). Their projects have been exhibited widely, e.g. at the 6th International Architecture Biennale in Sao Paulo/Brazil and The Summer Exhibition 2006 at the Royal Academy of Arts in London.

Cristina Diaz Moreno
Unit/Programme:Diploma Unit 5
Bio: Cristina Díaz Moreno and Efrén García Grinda are both architects, regular contributors to El Croquis and founders of the Madrid-based office amid.cero9 (cero9.com). Since 1998 they have taught at ETSAM and ESAYA, and have been visiting teachers at Cornell, Paris-Malaquais, ESARQ and EPSA. They have won more than 30 prizes in national and international competitions, and their projects and writings have been collected in Breathable and From Cero9 to AMID.
