AA Beyond Entropy: When Energy Becomes Form

Work from this ambitious project includes giant self-balancing mechanisms, pedestals for displaying the invisible energy networks and a time machine will be on show at the 12th International Architecture Exhibition in Venice, at the Fondazione Giorgio Cini on San Giorgio Maggiore. Projective Cities
This autumn the AA is launching its Projective Cities graduate programme – a course dedicated to research- and design-based analysis of the contemporary city, leading to an MPhil in Architecture. The programme recognises the city as a new field of study, design and research, and pursues through architectural experimentation and speculation the meaningful production of new ideas for the city.

Apply now for AA Interprofessional Studio 2010/11
AAIS is still open for applications from prospective students for the new academic year beginning in September. We welcome applications in particular from those with backgrounds in interactive design, graphic design, music, choreography, film and scenography.

AA Design & Make is a new MArch design programme based at Hooke Park, the AA's rural campus in Dorset, west England. The course is open to graduate students of architecture who wish to pursue studio- and workshop-based design and realisation of alternative rural architectures. On a yearly cycle, the programme will design and construct experimental ecologically sustainable buildings at Hooke Park, in the process creating new AA school facilities.
